Time Drops

Description

Whenever a 14 and under swimmer achieves their best time in a stroke or event, they are given a blue time drop card in their folder in the ribbon boxes as a means of congratulations and encouragement.

The first time a swimmer has a legal swim in any stroke in a meet, that swim becomes their base time for that event (time trials don’t count).  Whenever they improve their time in any subsequent meet, they will be given a time drop card.  The cards are usually in their mailboxes at the pool within a few days of the meet.  It is great to see how these times really come down over the course of the summer.

If time permits, time drops will also be awarded for personal best times achieved at the Classic and City meets at the end of the season and given out at the banquet. If you have any questions about time drops, please call Jenny Knapp (630-778-6330).
